A familiar face in the media, Devine has advised campaigns for Gore and Kerry, leaders in Ireland, the Middle East, and Latin America
(PORTLAND, MAINE) - Tad Devine, one of the nation's (and the world's) most respected Democratic campaign strategists, will deliver the keynote speech at the Maine Democratic Party's 2008 Muskie Lobsterbake, which will take place this Sunday, August 3rd at Camp Ketcha in Scarborough.
Devine currently heads the Washington, D.C.-based U.S. and international consulting firm Devine Mulvey LLC, where he provides political communications advice to some of the top Democratic campaigns in the country and around the world. Since 1993, he has worked as a media consultant, writing, directing and producing television and radio advertising for leading Democratic candidates, including Maine Representative and U.S. Senate candidate Tom Allen.
Devine served as a senior strategist to the Gore/Lieberman 2000 campaign and John Kerry's campaign for President in 2004, as well as helping winning campaigns in Ireland (Taoiseach Bertie Ahern - 1997, 2002 and 2007), Colombia (President Andres Pastrana - 1998), and elsewhere around the globe. Devine has been a frequent guest on programs like Meet the Press and Face the Nation and also has appeared on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report.
